Since 1988, Cook has represented some of the world's top game companies, including Maxis, Bullfrog Productions, Sensible Software, The Bitmap Brothers, Geoff Crammond, Elixir and most recently, Puzzlekings, PomPom, Introversion and Carmageddon creators, Stainless Games. Cook's experience dates back to the early eighties when he was a journalist on Popular Computing Weekly. In 1986 he joined the Mirror Group where he became Head of Development of Mirrorsoft. He was influential in the release of perhaps the first truly casual computer game, Tetris, as well as the launch of the trailblazing Imageworks label. After leaving the Mirror Group in 1988, he set up his own games agency business (Bad Management), later to also establish developers Cranberry Source and his own production company, NoName Games, producers of Sentinel Returns. He retains a passionate belief that small groups of talented individuals can still make a significant impact in an increasingly overpackaged and under inspired mainstream.
