Mahmoud Khasawneh is the founder of Quirkat, a Jordanian based interactive services company primarily focused on the development and distribution of cross platform games and entertainment solutions catered for the Arab speaking Middle Eastern market.

Prior to forming Quirkat, Mahmoud, in his capacity as the Chief Information Officer of the Government of Jordan, and reporting directly to the Minister of Information & Communications Technology, founded and led the country’s e-Government Program for four years. His responsibilities included the development of a comprehensive national ICT Strategy and the promotion and establishment of inter-governmental cooperation frameworks. Other main highlights of his career include the positions of Chief Technology Officer at an Interactive Services spin-off of Telewest Communications/Flextech in the UK, and Chief Technical Architect for the E-Solutions Unit at EDS for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Mahmoud holds a Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering and a Masters Degree in Information Systems Technology; both from the George Washington University in Washington D.C., USA
